I just finished reading Tom Fulp's Bio page and the NewGrounds History page.
I've been a regular fan of NewGrounds since a friend introduced me to it during English Composition class at the local community college back in the summer of 2002. I had no idea about what was going on behind this site at the time. I would only check NewGrounds out at college, because I didn't want anyone at home to see the porn banners.
I've been checking out the content on a regular basis (weekly sometimes, daily most of the time) since the beginning. Yet, I never voted on a single submission. Never made a comment, good or bad. Never participated in any way with the NG community. Until recently that is...
About a year ago, my good friend started to teach me basic ActionScripting. I took to it like a duck to water. Very soon I was a better programmer then he was and we started to partner together with him as the designer and me as the developer. We've been working together ever since.
A few months ago I finally decided that I just HAD to comment on this one shitty flash game and so I made a profile. It wasn't long before I was commenting on most movies and games that I viewed, but still it was only in the last 2 weeks that I began voting.
I have yet to submit any of my own flash work, but I'm slowly coming to that "flash" point where I hope to really start getting involved in the best way.

sure at home you could run into trouble if people see some porn ads but browsing at college is fine haha that made me laugh
